Big things happen in small groups. It’s a good time for us to look at God’s Word, pray for each other, and share specific needs. We enjoy caring for people in a Home Fellowship because we know that much of the church’s ministry takes place in these kinds of small groups.

As a church grows it becomes even more important for people to seek out meaningful fellowship opportunities. Places where you can know and be known by others. Places where you can share prayer requests, praise reports and the joys and burdens of life.

At Calvary, one way that we seek to facilitate this is through Home Fellowships. They provide a great way to understand the Bible better, develop leadership gifts, and even feel more a part of God’s family.

Calvary offers different connecting opportunities like this throughout the week. Some of these are gender or demographic specific (youth, single women, etc), and others are open to whomever is interested in attending (mixed, adult groups). While the demographic may be different the purpose is always the same – to know God better, study the Word, and increase our fellowship with those around us.

On Wednesday evenings we have our Take Jesus Home Small Group. This is for anyone of any age to attend and discuss the sermon from the day before and also discuss some of the current events of the week from a biblical perspective.

You can call the church office or pick up a list of current groups at our Information Table on Sunday morning. Occasionally the groups take a break for the holidays or after a particular study, so be sure to check the details for the week you want to attend.

If you have never been a part of a discipleship group, or if you think it is time to connect with others in this way, there’s probably a group being offered in your area. Feel free to connect with one of the existing groups of your choice directly or talk to us on Sunday morning and we’ll introduce you to some of the leaders.

We also train small group leaders. Maybe you would be interested in hosting a Home Fellowship. Please let us know and we’ll let you know about the next training available.
